Founding of Columbia
Established as a family-owned company, Columbia began its journey in Cyprus with a commitment to providing high-quality moving and storage services for both corporate and residential customers.
2000
Expansion and Establishment of Core Values

2010
Significant Growth and Development
By 2010, Columbia has grown substantially. The company’s operations now take place on over 20,000 m² of company-owned property, featuring a comprehensive fleet of vehicles and state-of-the-art moving equipment tailored to meet diverse customer needs.
2015
Introduction of Self Storage Facility
Columbia introduces the only Self Storage facility in Cyprus based on UK and USA standards. This facility offers high-quality, personalized storage solutions, marking a significant milestone in the company’s service offerings.

Member of FIDI
FIDI members must achieve at least 70% in each quality parameter or competence area and this is re-assessed every two years. There are 16 quality parameters, some of which include, facilities and equipment, staff knowledge, legal compliance, financial stability, documentation and insurance and risk management.
FAIM Certification
FAIM is independently audited by Ernst and Young, one of the world’s leading management consultants. During our last audit in 2014, we achieved 100% compliance with all FAIM quality and financial criteria. This certification assures customers of our commitment to high-quality service in every aspect of the international moving process.

Sustainability Practices
At Columbia Movers, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices throughout our operations. We believe that every small step towards sustainability can make a significant difference in preserving our planet for future generations.
We actively promote recycling and waste reduction practices within our facilities and operations but also the used packing materials of the moves we undertake. From office paper and cardboard to packing materials, we strive to recycle whenever possible to minimize landfill waste.
We offer eco-friendly packing solutions, including reusable moving boxes and packing materials made from recycled materials. By encouraging the use of reusable materials, we help reduce the consumption of single-use plastics and cardboard.
We have implemented paperless billing and documentation systems to reduce paper usage and streamline our administrative processes. This not only saves trees but also reduces the energy and resources required for printing and transportation.
Our storage facilities are outfitted with solar equipment (photovoltaic) to generate energy and feature energy-efficient lighting, heating, and cooling systems. These initiatives are aimed at minimizing energy consumption and reducing our overall environmental footprint.
